 Built in 1999, this Kawai professional upright has all of the qualities you would expect in high-end instrument.
First, it has a beautiful tone! Full, pleasantly warm, yet with enough edge to give you the power for those big fortissimos. Nothing at all is lacking in how this instrument sounds or plays.
And, yes, the shiny black cabinet is flawless. You could use this piano for your mirror when you brush your hair in the morning.
There is a big music rack that gives you plenty of space for your books. This isn't one of the tiny, flip-down racks. Please check out the photos.
It also features a soft close fallboard, which you don't find on many professional upright pianos. If you have little fingers that will be around the piano, this is something that will protect them from getting pinched or smashed. Your kids will appreciate this feature.
