Jansen and Son....one of the best benches you can buy. This heirloom quality piano has that warm, rich tone the old Steinways are so famous for. You can caress this instrument down to a pianissimo or really get into it and bring out a tremendous fortissimo....there are no "holes" in this piano's range! The action is fairly firm (which is also characteristic of a Steinway), rather than light and sloppy. From the elegant Victorian cabinet, to a singing tone that will satisfy even the fussiest musician, to a pristine set of ivory keys, to the high-end rebuild....she is all you would ever hope for in a fine instrument! Most Steinway model A's with this caliber of rebuild will fetch the mid-$40K to low $50K range, often more on the East or West Coasts.
