The Baldwin Acrosonic. These pianos were built in the USA for a long time and are respected by folks who know pianos. This Acrosonic is actually a bit of a "hybrid". Although it has the drop action of a spinet, it is the height of most consoles with longer strings and a larger soundboard. This gives the piano a considerably bigger tone and it isn't quite as "whiny" as most smaller spinets.
The cabinet is a light walnut and in good condition. Not perfect, but not a train wreck either. This is the perfect instrument for a family with a bunch of kids who needs a good-sounding, good-playing instrument....but don't want to worry about a new scratch or chip in the finish. This piano is already "broken in". The padded duet bench is big enough to get two people on, so grandma can sit beside Susie and show her how to play a few songs. When Susie gains confidence in her abilities, she can sit her younger brother or sister down and show them where to place their little fingers to start making music, too!
Make this a fun, happy family pastime! Playing the piano is a treasure you can enjoy throughout your entire life.
