The satin ebony cabinet is in good condition with only a few light surface scratches and tiny nicks. It is easily an "8" on a 1 to 10 scale. There are really no issues with this instrument. The soundboard is crack-free, the strings are clean, the hammers still have plenty of life in them, the brass is nice and shiny, and it is ready to be enjoyed!!
