1917 Steinway Model O, beautiful mahogany

This Steinway has a beautiful tone!!! Thanks to a well-seasoned spruce soundboard (about 105 years seasoned, that is), you won't find many new pieces of wood that will produce this warmth and fullness of sound.

Built in 1917, this 5'10" Steinway Model O is still quite an instrument! She features her original hammers and action, original strings and pins, original soundboard, nearly flawless original keytops, matching bench (padded and upholstered a few years back).....she's a keeper. 

The mahogany wood on this piano is in beautiful condition, but the finish itself could stand to be redone. There is some slight "crazing/alligatoring" to the aged finish that will easily be gone with a new finish. But, hey, you may choose to keep the original patina and just keep enjoying it as is.

We have gone through this piano and it holds tune well, plays great and sounds fantastic! If you are wanting an affordable Steinway that you can enjoy for several years before worrying about a restoration, this is the perfect piano for you!
