Here's a high-end Charles R Walter console piano in a brown mahogany Queen Anne cabinet. Built in 1987, the instrument is in excellent internal/mechanical condition!! The action is still nice and firm...not floppy loose like some pianos tend to get after a few years. The tone is really full and well-rounded, which will likely make you want to spend more of your free time at the piano...and less time on your computer. :) If you close your eyes, you could easily think you were playing a baby grand!
After being hand-built to high industry standards in Elkhart, Indiana, this piano was inspected and signed by Mr. Charles R Walter himself; hence, the "Signature of Quality"! You won't find many pianos built with this much attention to detail.
Overall, this piano is in great condition! The graceful curves and flowing lines of the Queen Anne cabinet make this an eyecatcher! There are a few light scuffs on the piano, but the bench shows the most signs of being loved. We cleaned it up and it looks pretty good, but you may choose to put a bench cushion on it if you are really fussy.
If your kids have been taking piano lessons for several years and are needing a better instrument (but you don't necessarily have the budget for a new piano), this would be a SUPER choice for you! New Charles R Walter console pianos currently list for over $13K....but this one can be yours for only $3488! Most new pianos that would come anywhere close to the quality of this piano will run you upwards of $10K. Save your pennies and get this truly wonderful, "Made in the USA" piece of craftsmanship!
