Check out this stunning, restored Mason & Hamlin Model A grand piano!
Built in the USA in 1907, this 5'8" grand piano was manufactured with an extreme amount of attention to detail...which is easy to tell from the photos. The instrument has undergone a comprehensive restoration sometime in the not-so-distant past. We are guessing the restoration occurred in the past 5 to 15 years; however, the person who had the work completed has since passed and the heirs did not have access to the info.
The restoration included:
• New satin ebony hand-rubbed lacquer finish
• New hammers and damper felts
• New strings and tuning pins
• Soundboard refinished and new decal applied
• Cast iron plate refinished and detailed
This piano has a beautiful, singing tone and plays great! It even includes an adjustable bench. The ivory keys are original from 1907 and still in excellent condition! The solid spruce soundboard is perfect, as well. The piano also includes Mason & Hamlin's patented Tension Resonator, which is not found in other pianos.
As you will notice in the photos, this isn't the usual (somewhat boring) cabinet with traditional spade legs. This piano features a significant amount of carving and detail at the top of the rounded, tapered legs...highlighting the craftsmanship often found in the early 1900's.
You can search all across the country and not find a nicer Mason & Hamlin model A from this vintage, especially not for the ridiculously low price we are offering it at!
